Ding #1- Fail, there is a specific forum for critiquing resumes.

Ding #2- Softball? Really? Wait unless your a girl then ok.

My apologies, I thought I posted it in the resume forum.

Ha nope, I'm a guy. Softball is big in Asia for expats and it's a nice taste of Americana.

Format-wise it looks good. Hard to give input without knowing what you need the resume for. Is this a general review? or are you applying for a certain type of position?

HF mostly. Entry-level, just trying to get my foot in the door.

I noticed you completed the MS Commerce at UVA, could I PM you to get some insight? I have been considering this program for sometime.

Sure thing. Happy to answer any questions you have.

I've never seen the education at the bottom of the page before - why did you choose to do that? Also, you should specify what "coding" means.

I moved education lower because I am almost 3 years removed from undergrad and I have a year of full-time experience. When I left my FT job, I was told it was more important to highlight that than rest on the laurels of college.

As for the HTML section, by "coding" I mean that I have experience creating HTML websites. Is there a better way to express that? Thanks for your help.

Apologies, I thought there was a comma between "HTML" and "coding".

I think you should move the education to the top - you're still relatively entry-level (I assume you're looking at 2nd/3rd year analyst and 1st year associate positions), so your alma mater and GPA will still be the #1 and #2 things a recruiter looks at. Maybe if you were 5 years out with significant experience, it'd be a different story, but that's not really the case here.

Gracias.

Any other suggestions? I'm in talks with a number of HF right now so I want to solidify this thing before shooting it off to them. Aiming for an equities or commodities desk. Are there really any big changes I should make to differentiate between those two given my career level? Thanks.
