Critque Resume, Cover letter and essay for APD candidate for McKinsey & Co.

Hey Guys,

This is a draft version of my resume, cover letter and essay. I removed a lot of identifiable information, so the formatting got messed up. But I am wondering if you guys could give me any suggestions regarding the content. I am still editing all the documents, and I will update these clean versions, to reflect those changes as I make it.

This is a resume for a APD candidate, so has publications, conference papers, as directed by the recruiter at McKinsey & Company. (spelled correctly with a capital K :) ).

I have enabled comments in the document, so you can leave your comments there as well.

Go ahead humiliate me. Pretty please. :)

Thanks

Just took a brief look at your resume and the following are some of my suggestions.

  1. Shorten your resume if possible. Keep only the important points
  2. Align the date formatting for teaching assistant
  3. Change the formatting of the resume
  4. Change "Building" and "developing" to "built" and "developed".
  5. Remove the full stops after your second point in "ultra low protein", 1st point of your "2d microscale gas", 1st point of "teaching assistant", 1st point of "graduate research assistant" and 1st point of "graduate teaching assistant"
