CTP Exam preparation

Hello Everyone,

Hopefully this is the correct forum to post this on.

Because it relates directly to my line of work now, I have decided to take the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Exam. I know this exam has some mixed reviews as to it's usefulness or relevance, but I'm not interested in discussing that, as I have already committed to taking it. I recall most (ok... some) of my MBA and am a transaction banking VP in on of the BB IBs (for context).

Has anyone here taken this exam? If so:

How hard was it?

How much study did it take?

how did you prepare?

happy to hear any comments anyone has on the test itself, and how to prepare for it.

Thanks Monkeys!

in the same boat as you so any feedback on this exam and the process will be very helpful! i see that when submitting the app on AFP, there are two options for learning materials as well as additional courses. since the added up costs are quite hefty, was wondering what others did and chose to forego:

Essentials of Treasury Management, 5th Edition (printed for 2017-2019 CTP Exam Windows) $155.00
AFP Learning System: Treasury 5th Edition (for 2017-2019 CTP Exam Windows) $760.00

i'm thinking about taking a semester course as well, but that itself is another near $1500 on top of AFP membership, examination fee, books, etc...

lastly, how does committee verify work experience after you've provided job description, titles, employment dates, etc.?
