CU (Leeds) vs DU (Daniels) Part-Time MBA
Currently in an "Internal Consulting" role at a F500 Financial Services firm (think Fidelity, TIAA, Transamerica). My employer is willing to foot half of my MBA bill as long as I go part-time.
I want to remain in the Rocky Mountain region and was wondering which program you guys would recommend?
I live in Westminster and work in Denver so they are both about the same driving distance (DU - 30 minutes & CU - 30 to 45 minutes)
As always, thanks for all the advice.
Hi DenverFinance, just trying to help:
Hope that helps.
Leeds is probably the stronger choice, although there isn't a huge difference between the two. I would check out each school's offerings to see if there are any particular classes or programs that interest you.
Based on US News and a few other rankings I'm familiar with, it looks like Leeds consistently ranks higher, and it is the only CO school to rank in the top 100 list for Business schools.
University of Washington at St Louis used to have an Exec MBA program that was primarily administered in Denver (with a few portions of the program on-campus in St. Louis), but unfortunately that was cut last year.
Good luck choosing, and hopefully whichever program you go with is a good fit! Do you see yourself in the same role post-graduation that you are in now, or would the education lead to a change?
