CUNY Baruch college

Hi everyone,

I'm transfering to Baruch next Fall. Do you guys know whether they allow a double major in accounting and finance? I know that some schools do not allow students to get a double major in somehow related fields. Also, do they allow to minor in business, even though you major might be accounting or finance?

I'm glad Qaxel answered your question - b/c in all honesty - you should have had this answered before even finalizing the decision to go to the school.

So what do other people do? They just take 24 credits in finance, and unofficially have a double major? What about minoring in, for instance, Business Law. Baruch doesn't have it as a business major?

By unofficial, I mean that if a person takes all the required courses for the finance degree, while he/she has comleted accounting bachelors already.

I want to become a CPA, and I will need extra 25 or 30 credits to have 150 credits. What I want to do is to comlete bachelors in accounting, and then take extra credits or double major in finance to widen my opportunities, just in case if I do not like accounting type of work, I could switch to corporate finance easily. Any suggestions?
