Curious to know your reading speed/verbal interpretation skills

As the title says I’m just curious about your reading speeds and how important/useful it was in your career.

As for myself, making notes for a piece of text I have to read in college - say 20 A4 pages, would take me around 2 hours to make detailed notes and completely digest. I would’ve embedded most of the information in my memory afterwards pretty much forever.

I thought that I was on the slower side, even though the text was written in slightly bizarre English (I take history classes) I still thought my speed was under-par.
