Curious to see what the typical day is for those first, second, and third year analysts fresh out of UG. Each office will vary by culture obviously but want an overall picture. Could be at CRE brokerage, MM, BB etc.

Thanks.

My hours greatly vary based on my workload and how many deals we have on the table at any one time, but the first part of my day is always the same. Wake up at 6:15 in the morning and get to the gym by 7 latest. Work out until 8, shower, change and get to the office by 8:30 latest.

Once I'm in the office I usually spend the first 20-30 min going through emails and responding. Throughout the day it can be a mix of things like modeling, reading reports or talking on the phone. Typically have 2-4 conference calls a day. My office is also fairly relaxed in that I can listen to music, people don't usually bother you if you're working hard and you're not constantly watched like a hawk.

Usually if my work load isn't too bad I'll be out of the office by 7 or 8, but if I have a lot to do it could easily be later. After that all I do is go home, make dinner, watch some tv and pass out. Honestly I'm a huge fan of routine and can easily do the same thing day in and day out.

How many live deals are you usually working on at a time to demand 2-4 conference calls a day?
