Dealing with people unfriending you on Linkedin...

Anyone else feel really shitty when you get unfriended on LinkedIn? Am I just a big baby or is it no big deal? Like wtf did I do? Any app out there to track down who exactly unfriended you? It happened to me last week and I'm still trying to figure out if it was someone important that unfriended me and what I might've done. P.S. I don't post anything, I don't announce every little achievement and milestone I reach, I don't caption my heading, "Incoming....," I'm not political or etc. I just like market news posts. Similar shit happened to me about 3 months back and I feel like crap. Should I just stay off LinkedIn completely?

I've defriended people when I've lost complete track of where I know this person from. For example, perhaps I briefly met someone at a conference cocktail hour 6 or 7 years ago, I don't even remember what the hell we talked about. I might defriend them when cleaning up my LinkedIn. I've noticed that other people do the same to me.

I unfriend people all the time. similar to the bro above, if it's someone I've never met but maybe had one coffee chat with, a former classmate I lost touch with, a vendor I don't do any business with, I'll smash the "remove connection" button. it's because of the way I use LinkedIn. if I've added someone, it's because I'd be comfortable introducing others to them. if I can no longer say that about you (either we lost touch or never knew each other well), siyonara.

don't take it personally, some people (like me) are just mean with social media
