Debt Focused Private Equity

Would anyone have information on the relative differences between debt focused PE firms such as Centerbridge, Cerberus, and Oaktree Special Sits? I've seen information on these firms individually, but have been having a hard time comparing them in terms of performance, culture, and the overall associate experience. Any information helps, thanks!

all are top places for special sits PE. From what I’ve heard they’re all pretty tough grinds. performance I’m not super sure but no one is swinging it out of the park nor imploding. Actually Cerberus probably is less focused on corporate PE and more on Asset level stuff like NPLs and Real Estate, so I’d do the other two over Cerberus
