Deep Springs College= Auto Admit into I-Banking?

Hi,

One of my HS soccer buddies and good friend graduated from a non-target US news top 25 school recently. He spent the first 2 years of his studies at Deep Springs College; one of the most exclusive and interesting colleges in the country. He doubled majored in economics and mathmatics with a stellar GPA.

Just graduated this June, I think he is doing some unrelated gig somewhere but his goal is to move into the finance field.

He was accepted to top ivies out of Deep Springs but choose to attend the current college out of personal reasons.

As a side note, he has done no finance related internships, only one mathmatic intership at a college junior year and some leadership ECs.

So I guess the question is, is the experience at Deep Springs enough to get him a job at a top tier I-Bank?

Deep Spring College is a 2 year work study college in Neveda for those of you not familiar with it.

Apperciate it

Simply getting a selective education isn't enough, and "auto admit" applicants have that status for reasons other than their college. It's not like Harvard kids are all accepted, it is easier but still competitive.

I don't think simply having gone to Deep Springs and having a mathematic internship is enough for a BB. However, there are probably alumni that would be more than happy to help.

The program is quite interesting because you are pretty much isolated from everything. Pretty much you get to be a cowboy for 2 years.

It does show stellar work ethics and something awesome to talk about during an interview.
