Deferred 2+2 MBA Program

I am currently a college junior who has recently been reading about the deferred MBA programs.  I would like some advice.

  1. When should I take the GMAT? I want to just get it done this spring since I'll be bored sitting at home all semester and I want to enjoy "normal" senior year.  If I do not get into the 2+2, should I be worrying about my scores expiring before I apply for the normal admissions?

  2. Given that I am such a typical MBA applicant (ORM, Econ major at a T25 undergrad with a 3.9+.  I have an internship at MBB this summer)., would I even have a shot at the deferred programs, which are meant to attract STEM/untypical applicants?

Thank you!!!
