Deloitte Project Controller Analyst vs. Business Analyst: (is PCA back office?)
Does anyone here have experience or know anyone involved in the Project Controller Analyst Role at Deloitte? From what it sounds like it is more of a Back Office role geared towards supporting the Consulting Team with some of the more menial tasks.
Can anyone confirm or deny this?
I am asking because I still lack long term experience in the working world to be aware of how these hierarchies are structured.
Here is a link to the job description for the Project Controller Analyst: https://www2.deloitte.com/us/en/pages/careers/art…
Here is a link to what seems like the 'preferred' option, the Business Analyst, for comparison: https://www2.deloitte.com/us/en/pages/careers/art…
The reason I draw these conclusions is because there is a slightly lower GPA requirement for the job while still following a similar long-term path as consulting.
I'll put it this way - it's definitely not a bad gig depending on the prestige of your UG, especially if you are looking to put a strong brand name on your resume and get some client facing experience. That said, I doubt many contributors to this site can speak to having specific experience in that role.
Project Controllers make sure an engagement stays on budget, among other things. It is not a client facing role and is not consulting.
