Delta One Trading

Hello all, I am brand new to WSO. I will be a junior this fall, and am looking into summer internships for 2017. I am connecting with a guy next week who is the head of portfolio sales and trading at a well known bank. I have done extensive research on IB analyst programs at the bulge firms and boutiques, but his bank only offers a rotational program. I honestly have no idea what delta one trading desks do, and would love a very dumbed down explanation of them. I'd also really appreciate some feedback on what you think of a rotational program.

The first two links explain what Delta One desks are. The third link explains what Delta is. As the name gives the idea, Delta one desks trade products that have a Delta of 1. Delta is the price correlation between a security and its underlying asset.
