Denver Private Equity
The only other thread on the PE scene in Denver is quite dated. Does anyone have any knowledge on the top funds in Denver? Culture? Fundraising?

Career Resources
Partners Group is building out their US presence through Denver so that is your only megafund presence. Caveat that the comp/lifestyle tradeoff here is very different than your typical other US megafunds. On the UMM to MM side you have reputable funds in KRG Capital (well legacied and successful fundraising), KSL Capital (traditional associate recruiting from banks and very specialized in lodging/leisure), Mountaingate Capital (ex-KRG leadership). You also have other smaller funds that operate more in the LMM like Bow River Capital, but Partners Group and those three ~MM shops kind of round out the known players. Hope others can chime in if anything I said is lacking precision.
Can you elaborate more on the PG comp/lifestyle trade off?
What happened to KRG? It looks like the fund shut down and no one is working there anymore. Is that correct?
There are a few natural resources focused funds based in Denver. Resource Land Holdings and Resource Capital Funds are the two of them.
Another name to consider: Platte River. Very operations focused in heavy industries, but rumor is that their returns are eye popping. Looking at bios of management, I imagine they are very hands on and in the weeds (and are likely pretty good at it). Could be a great place to land if you enjoy working with PortCos.
Intentionally vague here but the chairman there is one of those all time great guys, just a real mensch
Agreed. PR sounds like a solid shop. Good friend of mine I believe worked there after MoCo. If they were able to recruit him there out of nyc I would think it must have been a great offer
Anyone know anything about Summit Investment Management or Wazee Street Capital Management in the area?
Grey Mountain, Excellere, Platte River Equity are all great shops
is it true grey mountain is sweaty? Also do they promote internally, don't see much looking at bios
