desperate job seeker as an engineering student

This is my final year in MEng program. I have studied engineering for 6 years. But I am planning to establish my career in IB. So far, I have applied tens of IB, from BB to boutique, mostly focusing on back office such as operation or IT. Most of the replies are rejection. My confidence is on the verge of collapse. Should I try both front and back office? Does my analytical skill count in my application? Without any finance background, it is possible to find a job in IB? Any advice?

You could try to reach out to some of your school's alums- surely there must be a few in banking. You can usually find alumni who have agreed to be contacted at your school's career services office or at the alumni affairs office. Good luck.
