Details around Consumer / Retail PE

Hey all,

I've seen a lot of posts over the last year or two about which PE and growth equity shops play in the Consumer / Retail space However, it doesn't seem like there's been much detail about actually working at any one of these firms as an associate

Does anybody have a view (firsthand or anecdotal) of the below for the bigger players like L Catterton, TSG Consumer, Roark, Sycamore, etc. -

  • Compensation
  • Hours
  • Culture
  • Interview process (e.g., # of interviews, model vs. paper LBO
  • Attitude towards b-school
  • Willingness to promote from within

Thanks in advance!
