Deutsche CRE London
hi all,
I have heard many good things about the above team. As many people will know on this forum, it originates bespoke loans for clients, among others sponsors, and it also originates CMBS products.
Would it be correct to think of this team as a sort of 'leveraged finance for real estate' team? With this in mind what are the potential & realised exits? Where do people actually go after working in this team? I've heard many things in favour and a couple of things against. I'd like to clear them up now.
Thank you!
Don’t know about their operation in Europe but believe their US team is still decent (used to be solid). However in recent years they have been missing revenue target and the comp is significantly down. Good place to start your CRE career though
ah right thank you! How do you know this?
Established institutional player with good training / decent deal experience, comp will most likely not be top of market but will open doors to top tier equity / debt shops after a solid stint
This is inaccurate. CRE at DB is a monster. Top with JPM and constant revenue producer. CRE Special Sits is the place to be (outside of vanilla CMBS packaging). Look up all the alumni’s – phenomenal area to be if you’re into RE.
Can you elaborate what special situations does?
Is it housed under the S&T division
