So I received this email last month from a Goldman campus recruiter, with the subject "PLEASE READ:Invitation to Apply", after being referred by one of my friends who interned at over the summer. I am currently a junior with some structured finance experience from my internship over sophomore summer, but at the same time, do attend what I consider to be the epitome of a non-target (random state school). No GS (or any bank) OCR presence whatsoever.
I'm hoping this subject means that I am being considered as the floating trash on top of the proverbial cesspool of non-target resumes, but honestly have no clue.
Can someone offer their thoughts on the situation?
