Did I bomb my 2 hour case study interview?
I just did a 2 hour modelling/ case study interview test for a HF and made a 3 statement model based on Non-IFRS/ Non-GAAP numbers. I was really short on time, and ended up spending my time just balancing the Balance Sheet and getting the right formulas in the model and DCF. Mostly didn't assume much change in revenue growth and cost / opex relative to prior years.
Now I am double guessing myself - if the hiring manager is more interested in my modelling mechanics or if they are more interested in my thinking behind the assumptions for my forecasts.
Would appreciate any insight?
P.S. I am supposed to present my case on Monday AM, but already sent in the excel files (were due 2 hours from the time they sent it to me).
