Did my networking call go well?

Cue the eye rolls on another person trying to read between the lines from a call, but I can’t stop going over if it went well or not. I recently had a call with a fund that isn’t necessarily hiring now but is having calls getting to know people. I would say it was sort of a phone interview but not for a currently open position was the sense I got. It was unclear if I was doing well or not, but at the end they said they really enjoyed the conversation, and they would let me know if anything comes up. Would you guys interpret these as positive/negative/neutral? Yes, I know it’s a waste of time reading into these things but I can’t stop.
