Difference between IB and CF

Don't come at me guys I'm a first year analyst CF at KPMG, it seems pretty much like IB only. What's the distinguishing factor bw the two?

Simple answer is comparing CF to IB is like comparing paper to a rock.

Is CF at kpmg internal or are you on a consulting team that advises clients with CF decision-making? Either way it's very different. I'll give it to you that sell side banking and consulting can seem similar at times but you could be staffed on multiple deals at once in IB and as far as I know that is pretty rare in CF.
