Just curious to know what the different dress codes are for some of the Big4 firms. How different is office attire for some places like NY/Bos/SF/DA etc?

In the office - business casual with casual Fridays
At client site - business casual or business formal (i.e. put a tie on)
Weekends - whatever the fuck you want

Thats pretty unexpected. I would have figured that working in NYC at a BB you dress in suits. Good to hear though.

The location he works in is mostly middle office personnel. Maybe it is different at the headquarters.

I'm sure some ppl wear suits but supposedly it is very casual. Slacks and shirt.

To give my answer some context when I say business casual, I mean a suit without a tie.

Office location really makes it vary. NYC's suits-and-tie are usually weird in Northern California.

When I was in Big 4 I would always dress as the client dressed. I used that as a way to network with my clients for potential exit ops as well as to make a good impression that I cared about their company culture.

I would suggest keeping a couple of ties in your desk drawer at the office for "emergencies" and ALWAYS have a jacket with you even if you aren't required to wear it. Nothing helps a fledgling career as much as looking like you know what you are doing.
