Disabilities Question

Alright so I have a life threatening peanut allergy. If I touch it I get hives, if I eat it or breath in peanut dust I will go into anaphylactic shock and have to use an epi-pen and go to the hostpital. I am applying for exposure programs (like inside weeks and networking events ect), and was wondering; does having a food allergy qualify as a disability? Technically according to ADA yes, but idk I feel ethically opposed because while it does inhibit my eating habits, it is not as serious as many other disabilities. I never have checked the disabilities box because of my allergy, and I didn't on my apps, but it made me curious if people do, and if food allergies or stuff like asthma is considered a legit disability that warrants access to certain disability focused exploritory events. What are your thoughts? Or does anyone known the rules on that?

I think that qualifies as a disability. Since there are many different foods and products that created with a plant that says this product is created with peanuts. I think you should bring it up with an employer about the issue.

"It's okay, I'll see you on the other side"

"Doesn't make sense to die when you can avoid it" one should not just assume
