Disability and IB

Hello everyone,

I have an unusual question: I’m currently a student at a target school and I have a disability which can make me tired more easily than regular people. For some time I’ve been trying to figure out what career path I want to take. I managed to get experience in S&T where hours are manageable even though the environment is very stressful but found that it wasn’t my thing, so I want to move to IB. I know however that hours can get really long and I know I won’t be able to handle leaving work everyday at 2 am, let alone pull all-nighters. Feedback from my past managers is that I’m much more productive than any other intern they’ve had due to my disability so I’m confident that I can handle the IB workload, just not the hours.
I know there’s a culture of face time, but do you think that I could ever break into IB if I manage to show my skills while making clear that I can’t take the hours?

Hours will be long as work can arrive at 12pm. Being efficient is good but wont change things on IB as tasks can arrive at any hour and deadlines are there. If you cant handle hours then it will be really hard to stay even if you break into it.

Sorry, this doesnt answer your question but dude don't torture yourself. There are plenty of career paths that lead to success/prestige/money/whatever, especially if you're coming from a top university. IB is notoriously shitty for hours, I can't even imagine what it would be like with your condition.
