Discrimination and Disparities
Anyone here read Thomas Sowell's newest book yet? Currently about half way through it myself and, as is typical of Sowell's writing, I've found it to be quite brilliant. It seems there's been a lot of yelling and screaming about AA and other similar topics on this board recently, but not a whole lot of substantive discussion/debate, which is unfortunate.
Interested in hearing people's comments on the book.

I just ordered it from Amazon and cannot wait to read it.
Sowell is very underrated and deserves to be a household name. The fact that the race baiting fraud, Ta-nehisi Coates, wins a MacArthur Genius grant and is heralded as the pre-eminent African-American intellectual, just shows how bad things are.
I hope that the book provides ample empirical data to refute a central liberal lie: disparities within various ethnic groups is due primarily to racism and systemic discrimination. This has held back the black community from achieving its full potential, instead perpetuating a vicious cycle of blaming whites rather than accepting personal responsibility
I too hope his works continue to become more well-known. The world would be an astronomically better place in almost every respect if more individuals focused their efforts on searching for fundamental truths (a pursuit to which Sowell has dedicated his entire life), instead of constantly yelling, screaming and pointing fingers at one another like a bunch of baboons driven only by paltry tribalistic instinct.
IIRC, the last 30 pages or so are supporting notes/data.
Another book I recently started (and highly recommend) is 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson. It is absolutely brilliant as well.
