Do anyone know how big firms make hiring decision?
Hi people:
I just finished my superday and I was just curious about how they make decisions. My interviewer replied me that he hopes I could get an offer so this sounds like that it's not totally up to the interviewers. So anyone got any idea about how the hiring process works behind the scene?
Its a variable melange of factors like current and expected staffing needs, fit, headcount budget, your instagram profile etc.
hahaha it's time to bring out the A-game photos

I mean it's generally up to the interviewers but just because one individual really liked you doesn't mean that he can persuade his peers to choose you for the offer.
Generally out of any given superday, 10-20% will get offers. So if there's 20 superday candidates, 1-2 will be clear favorites and then there will be another 4-5 candidates all of whom could potentially get the remaining offer(s) - it just comes down to a variety of factors that could help or hurt you such as your school, who liked you, who's most adamant about you, and who the senior guys liked.
