Stop bumping this so much. Its impossible for us to know the answer to your question. Some banks do, some banks don’t. Some may have not originally overhired but have less spots now due to COVID. A lot of unknowns at play here.
Focus on your work instead of trying to calculate your odds of getting a return offer.

My team takes a few SA...but I heard that over-hiring is a thing.
Yes, some banks do as they want to have the best interns and help other people who may not have been th ebest interviweres, but can do the job well.
Talk to HR or someone at tht bank for the offer rate and how you can secure it. If he says your offer is yours to lose, then you should be fine.
thank u for the response. is a 15+ SA class normal for a coverage group that has about 60+ people in it? seems a bit high to me that’s why I’m worried
Why would I know? Ask HR or someone at your bank and get the facts from tehs rouce.
Much more common at JPM/MS/GS to take a smaller portion of SA. At a lot of other firms, they typically plan to take a majority of the interns under normal conditions.

Have around 18 SAs at BB coverage group with ~80 people, but several of them are sophomores. Hoping that they will take most of us FT
