which bank sponsors H1-B?

Hi all, I am trying to apply to banks in the US right now, and I was wondering if anyone have any information on which bank sponsors H1-B Visa right now. I know most of the buldge bracket banks are okay (even Citi and B of A? can someone confirm this?) However, what about middle market shops? like Jefferies, Raymond James, or the other middle market shops?

Thanks!

TorontoMonkey1328:

No. H1-B Visa is inappropriate for summers from a process perspective. Applications must be submitted by April 1st, decisions are not rendered until June and the Visa is only good starting October 1 that year.

You should look in to a J or F Visa.

I am already working full-time on an H1B Visa. I don't have to be counted against the cap again and I don't have the limitation of having to wait till Oct 1st to start work. Basically if I get the internship, I will be quitting my full-time job and working as an intern during the summer on a separate H1B Visa (i.e. if firms are okay with sponsoring my H1B Visa just for the summer).

I believe the answer is...all companies do...as long as they really want to have you.

Check this website for information on companies that filed h-1b petitions.

http://www.myvisajobs.com/Reports/Top-Visa-Sponsor-2011.aspx

If you dig enough on the USCIS's website you will find a report on all the companies that filed petitions in the past fee years, including the number of petitions being filed.

Would it be possible to take enough credits to get full-time status and get OPT status or whatever it is that lets internationals do summer internships? Take one-week intensive classes, etc.?

That is another option. I quit my H1B job and switch to an F1 student Visa. But I am not sure if my school will agree to sponsor my F1 Visa just for doing a summer internship. Also I am not sure if I have to be on F1 Visa for a certain period of time before I can apply for OPT or if I can get OPT right away.
