Do BB/EBs Typically Issue Phones or Do They Pay Your Phone Bill
I am curious to know whether most BB/EBs issue corporate phones to full-time analysts? If not, do they instead pay for your personal cell phone bill?

CenterView pays for your phone bill since they do not issue cell phones, however I heard that they are going to begin issuing phones starting out with the latest class of incoming analysts, and slowly roll it out to everyone else at the firm.
BB - you can choose to get a corporate phone, but it's basically a burner and belongs to the company (no personal apps) and almost no one wants 2 phones. You'd still have to pay your personal bill anyway.
If you choose to use your personal phone and just have the email app like 99% do, you get a tiny discount (like 10%) when purchasing the phone but they definitely do not pay the bill
You can choose to get a corporate phone but if you install work stuff on your personal phone they can monitor your cell, so most people get the second phone
This is an old myth. The BB work app is self-contained, they can't see anything outside of the work app (assuming you have an iPhone). Look it up
I believe it, just word of mouth made me decide to get the second phone-- but I also like having the separation between work and personal life
This is true, but if you’re on the corporate Wi-Fi, they can track everything on there
Lmao one poster just said most people choose to have two phones and the other said most most people choose to only have one phone and use the app
My old firm used to have the two phone method with an option to opt into BYOD and everyone I knew chose the two phones. I personally would much rather have two phones to save my privacy. Plus, it is nice to have a complete separation between work/personal when I get a notification.
What type of phone did they give you?
Personally just have one phone with work stuff on it, I don’t really think my bank cares enough to snoop (and I know they can’t read texts). Nice getting an extra couple hundred a month for phone stipend
curious, how do you know they cant read texts?
Bank said that- interestingly enough, they said they can (but don’t) read texts on Androids, but can’t do it on iPhones due to apple privacy stuff.
PJT pays for your phone bill
If you bought a second phone, would they reimburse the cost of the device too, or do they just pay the bill? Looking at the iPhone SE for a work phone as I'd personally just like to not have anything work related on my personal phone.
You get the corporate discount only, like 10%, although good for any purchase. They will just give you the second phone (typically not an iPhone, cheap BB or similar)
PWP pay your phone bill up to $75ish
