Do BBs in London provide visa sponsorship for non-EU interns?

So, there goes my question.

Some background info:

- Non-EU foreigner studying in a Western European country

- Done 2 M&A internships at smaller firms in the country of my studies

- Now want to gear up and shoot for BB SA positions in London in the coming recruitment season

The question is, how willing are they to provide Visa sponsorship?

Because if they wouldn't bother, it would make more sense for me to keep pursuing opportunities in the country I'm currently in. But London would definitely be more lucrative.

Wondering if anyone on here is in the same kind of situation.

Appreciate your replies!

Thanks for the input, folks.

That's the problem, I have NON-EU citizenship (think BRIC). My student Visa lets me work in the country where I study, but for the UK I would need a British Visa AND a British work permit.

As far as I know EU citizens from the continent don't require anything to work in the UK. Or am I wrong?

Also, that wouldn't be an issue at all, if not for the fact that many BB's only let you apply in one location (bummer). And I obviously don't want to miss out on opportunities here by applying in the UK and being rejected based just on my passport.

A friend (non-EU) applied to MS and was invited to the regional office for 1st round and the interviewers told him that if London doesn't work out they can consider him there. But obviously not every bank handles HR the same way
