Do corporate finance jobs look at your transcripts for jobs??
Somebody told me that most coporate finance jobs don't look at your transcripts. They said that it is actually very rare for them to do that. Is this actually true?? How many of you have had your transcript asked for when you had to get your first job? What GPA do you need to get for corporate finance jobs??
When I interviewed/worked in FP&A ~5 years ago they didn’t ask for transcripts or anything, they asked my gpa once in the first interview but it was never brought up again.
What was your GPA? What place did you apply to? Did you go to a target school?
Gpa was 3.3. Non-target school.
Applied to mostly healthcare/insurance companies. Got hired at a subsidiary of a f500 healthcare company, pivoted into strategic finance consulting after a few years.
So you applied for these jobs? What is a good way to be competitive? What GPA do you need to work in these jobs?
okay
Some do and some don't. Why do you care if they look at your transcript? I really don't see how that impacts the application process. As far as GPA goes, it depends and its pretty hard to put a specific number or cutoff point besides saying 3.3+ is good. It'll be harder if you are below a 3.3
if you have less than a 3.3, how can you increase your chances of getting hired? Are the GPA requirements a hard cutoff or can they be lenient?? What would you be able to do? Somebody told me that it is very rare for them to look at transcripts.
