Do different recruiting firms talk to one another about specific candidates' fund preferences?

Do different recruiting firms talk to one another about candidates, specifically regarding fund type/size preferences (or even whether pe or hf)?

I am not a rockstar candidate, so I can't imagine why it would be worth their time (I assume they just want to place me wherever asap), but want to make sure there is not some huge amount data sharing going on.

They are competitors, why would they share data and their personal opinion about candidates?

Agree completely. Just trying to confirm this (figure out what the risk is, which I believe to be minimal) as I would like to explore a few different options.
