Las Vegas 2018

When to Go

There is a previous post on WSO that warns of going to Vegas in the summer (June - early September). It is HOT. The best time of year to go is from March-May and September-October. There will be some hot days in there, but temps are around highs of mid-80s and lows of 60s. The pool parties open in March and close by October. The flights/hotels are more expensive when compared to off-season, but you can still do a Thursday night - Sunday morning trip for under $1k in terms of flights and hotels. Having said that, summer/winter trips are doable and 33very affordable. My preference is for warm weather.

Time is the most valuable commodity. I like to fly out Thursday morning and work on the plane until I land (6 hours from the East Coast). Some of you may not have that luxury. Thursday nights are cheap on The Strip. Take that 9/10 PM flight and get in Thursday night. Even if you gamble/drink a little, you’ll pass out (maybe) before 2 AM and be ready to go by 10 AM Friday morning.

Where to Stay

It may be obvious, but you want to stay in the central part of The Strip. It is more expensive, but you’ll save time going from casino to casino. I prefer the Cosmopolitan ($$), Bellagio ($$), Aria ($$), and The Mandarin ($$$). All of these hotels have excellent rooms and accomodations. You get what you pay for. Cosmo has a general sophisticated party atmosphere; Bellagio is old school classy; Aria is laid back and has spacious rooms; The Mandarin is very expensive, but the service is incredible. However, they are not the cheapest of options. A cheaper, but still solid option is The Cromwell. It re-opened in 2014 after a $185mm renovation. I’ll get into the optimal gambling conditions at this casino later, but this hotel is located across from Caesar’s and doesn’t break the bank for a weekend in Vegas. The only downside is that the nightclub Drais is located on the roof. Some of the rooms can vibrate from the bass until 2 AM. I know most of you won’t be in the room before 2 AM, but I would still ask to be located the farthest away from the club as possible. Other than that, the Cromwell is a great budget option. If you don’t give a sh!t where you put your head down at night and just need a bed, check out the Platinum Hotel. It’s located a short walk down E Flamingo from The Cromwell. It has suites/full kitchens. From what I’ve been told, it is very clean and a great slightly off-strip option.

Here is where I suggest NOT to stay. I still think the #1 scam on The Strip is Caesar’s Palace. Did I enjoy all of The Hangover? Yes. Is it worth the inflated room prices? Hell no. You can stay at a much better hotel for less money. I enjoy the casino, but I refuse to stay there. Also, don’t ask the receptionist if Caesar really stayed there. The receptionists thought it was funny at first and would repeat the lines back to customers, but now…. not so much. I was playing craps with this guy that participated in the Delta Chug Challenge on a Thursday night flight and rolled into the Caesar’s lobby HOT. He told me he asked the receptionist the question, she didn’t acknowledge it, and he gave her a hard time. He got a crappy room in one of the older towers and no one cleaned his room the entire trip plus security “accidentally” removed all of his belongings from the room when they thought he had checked out. Whatever you do, DO NOT piss off the person checking you in. Besides Caesar’s, I would stay away from Flamingo (dirty and not in a good way), Harrah’s (better options), Venetian/Palazzo (highest resort fees on The Strip $45/night), Bally’s (better options), and Wynn/Encore (great properties, but poor location and over-priced).

Where to Drink

I’ve already gone way over the word limit here so I will break these out into bullet lists:

Pool Parties

Encore Day Club ($$$): They have a craps table and some card games in the pool area. The DJ lineup is very good, but this place is expensive. I recommend the Lily Pad tables which are in the pool. They also offer pool parties at night.

Marquee at Cosmo ($$$): A small pool club with very high prices, but you get what you pay for.

Rehab ($): Usually has a hip-hop instead of EDM DJ. Best budget option.

Suit-Up Bars:

  • Mandarin Bar at Mandarin
  • Alilbi in Aria
  • Chandelier Bar at Cosmo (ask for the Verbena)
  • Rose Rabbit Lie at Cosmo
  • Skyfall Lounge at Mandalay Bay
  • Whiskey Down at MGM Grand
  • Montecristo Cigar Bar at Caesar’s
  • Rhumbar at Mirage

Dress Down Bars:

  • Atomic Liquors (Downtown)
  • The Golden Tiki (off-strip)
  • Charlies at Wynn (sports book bar)
  • Senor Frogs at TI
  • Rockhouse at Venetian
  • O’Sheas at The Linq
  • Beer Park at Paris (rooftop)
  • Beer Haus at Monte Carlo/NYNY (for Vegas Knights games)

Clubs

It really doesn’t matter which club you choose. You’re either going to spend a lot of money or all of your money. My advice is if you’re going to go to one, don’t just buy a ticket, wait in line, and then pay $26 for a Bud Light. Go big. Buy the table and bottle service. That’s the only way to have a good time in any of the Vegas clubs. My suggestions would be Marquee at Cosmo, Hyde at Bellagio, Hakkasan at MGM Grand, and XS at Encore. Also, if you’re ever waiting in line to take a piss in a club, walk up to the doorman (yeah, he literally just opens the door to the bathroom), shake his hand, and slip $1/$2 into his palm. You’ll never wait for the bathroom again.

Where to Gamble

This is why I go to Vegas. You may have a few local options to gamble, but it will never beat Vegas.

I beg you all to never gamble at Wynn or Encore. 2x odds on the craps tables and 6-5 blackjack. I can imagine the slot machines are pretty tight as well. Again, it’s a great property, but it is the worst place to gamble on the strip.

For the craps players, the best place to throw dice is The Cromwell. They offer 100x as of today and I have heard great things from other players. You can easily find a $10 table on busy nights. Casino Royale’s one table no longer offers 100x odds and it is very much a LOCALS game. If you need a $5 game, head to The D or Golden Gate in Downtown Vegas. A sneaky good game is at Luxor. It’s a pain to get to, but you can find $5 games on weekend nights. Bally’s also has cheaper games. The majority of Strip casinos offer 3, 4, 5x odds besides Wynn/Encore.

Blackjack

  • El Cortez (Downtown)
  • Treasure Island
  • SLS
  • Aria, Bellagio, Mirage (higher minimums)

Sports Books

  • Wynn
  • MGM Grand
  • Mirage (older, but lots of seats)
  • Westgate (for the nostalgic-type)

Random Tips

  • Buy the upgraded seat on your flight to/from Vegas at the kiosk before checking-in. It’s usually a lower rate that doing it online while initially booking your flight. Your body will thank you for it. Mint on JetBlue is almost as big as my office cube.

  • You will never win money at that slot machine in the airport.

  • Don’t take the easy taxi waiting with its trunk open right outside of baggage claim. It is an absolute rip-off in terms of price. Go to the rideshare pick-up lane and order an Uber/Lyft. It’s half the price.

  • Tips: $1/bag if you check your bag at the door, $25-$50 sandwich for desk clerk when checking in, $1/drink while sitting at the table for the hostess, $20/limo driver, $50/host for club or pool party, tip $1/$5 every now and then while at the table to the dealers. Just my opinion.

  • If you’re going to play slots, bet the max every spin and never waste your time on penny slots. $100/pull Wheel of Fortune in the high limit room at Cosmo is a lot of fun.

  • The gun ranges are fun, but you can shoot for a lot cheaper at home most likely.

  • In regards to the “other clubs”, stay away from Little Darlings. Always take one of the clubs’ limos. They are free and you only have to tip the driver. Palomino is worth the trip to North Vegas. Other solid options are Treasures, Spearmint Rhino, and Sapphire.

Last Stand is always at the Monte Carlo.

Good Luck.

The Las Vegas Gun Range is run by two former Army/Navy vets and have some really affordable packages. I shot a Desert Eagle one time and it felt like the room was shaking. He told me they use them to take out engine blocks when cars run through check points.

Great post OP. A quick follow-up on the hotel situtation:

If you have the Amex Platinum this is easily where the card pays off. The Fine Hotels & Resorts program that comes with the card has outrageous benefits for hotels on the strip like Aria and Bellagio.

When I checked in last year to the Bellagio for $150 a night (summer) I was upgraded to an Spa suite on the 30th floor overlooking the Strip, comes with free breakfast for two, and a $100 food/beverage good for any restaurant in the resort. I know friends who move to different hotels every night so they can bank that $100 credit (It's once per stay not every night). You're essentially staying for free...

I did not know that about the Amex Platinum card. That is a pretty solid reward system.

That reminds me .... one of the many things I did not include in the original post is the gaming card topic. Always get a gaming card. The two most popular by far are M Life (MGM properties) and Total Rewards (Caesar properties). If you throw down enough cash/spend enough time gambling, you may accrue some perks next time you visit (free rooms, shuttles, meals, etc.). It is worth the 5 minutes of giving them your info and start earning those comps.

You eat what you kill.

The group is trying out Rehab this year. It is extremely affordable compared to the other pool parties on the strip. All-in for a Saturday cabana is ~$2,000 and food counts against the spend minimum.

You eat what you kill.

And for car enthusiasts out there, I-93 just north of Vegas is a great place to cruise at triple digit speeds. (Almost) the American Autobahn. Straight for miles on end, unlimited visibility. If you're flying in to McCarran, Hertz has some great cars in their Prestige collection. Just remember to pack your radar detector :)

Great write up. Gonna reference this for next trip. I second buying a table at the pool/club. So worth it because you can get one of the best seats in the house and not be crammed.

Went to Mandalay Bay pool party for EDC week 3 years ago. No sunscreen, hungover and drinks were $35 a piece. The four of us knew we would spend $300-400 a piece if just buying drinks. I took the lead and got us a huge u shaped couch with shade and own sun shelf right in the center of the pool. Best spot in the house. $1000 minimum and it came out to $350 a piece at the end of the day. The key was ordering buckets of beer. Cheapest option and we bought so much beer and tequila shots with $1000. Buckets were nonstop. We blacked out by the end and came to when they told us they're closing in 5 minutes. We all simultaneously said "Where'd everyone go?" as we realized we were the last people there and no music going. Best trip

Just got back on Monday from Vegas. I have been 4 times in the last 2 years. I can get a round trip flight to Vegas for 150-250. so I go alot. Here are my thoughts for the cost conscious monkeys.

Luxor - Cool staying in a pyramid. WAY too far off the strip. An uber ride to the action was way too far (too expensive like 25 - 50 depending on the surge).

Ballys - Good location, cheap price. Close to the action. thats all I can say. Not really a big fan of it.

Palms - Cheap. I like the vibe of it. Good food inside for a cheap price. Uber ride wasnt horrible. like 15-30.

Linq - Stood there last week. Another cheap hotel. Small rooms. Frozen Daqs in the hotel. Food was ok. Didnt have to uber anywhere. Rode the Ferris wheel.

Clubs:

XS - Very good. That outdoor portion is good. Good looking girls

Tao - My go to spot. good music (not really a EDM guy - more rap/r&b), girls are hot and pretty approachable. I paid 60 to see Gucci last weekend.

Drais - Good performances - Migos, big Sean, TI, Snoop, Travis Scott and Trey Songz have residency there.

1Oak - Was Meh. Nothing really to report.

Omnia is good for EDM, So is Hakkasan and Marquee (supposedly the best looking females go to those two, but I havent been personally).

***I always prepay for tickets. The cost at the door can go up to $100 for entry into any vegas club.

Strip Clubs:

Sapphires - Pretty good. Strippers are about a 7-10.

Treasures - Also good. Girls 9-10

Girl Collection - Floyds spot. Supposedly the best "urban" strip club near the strip. I always hype myself up to go, then cant justify spending $50 -$400 to get into a strip club.

**I took the free limo ride and got free admittance there. those guys on the strip are legit

Dispensaries:

I dont smoke, but someone I was with does - The one by the Las Vegas Mall was pretty affordable. I think its called Reed Dispensaries. $80 bought a gram and some edibles. I have no idea what that stuff means, but supposedly its a good price.

Time Share Presentation:

I saw a RCI one. Took 3 hours. Funny how hard they try to sell you. Since I am in sales, I was candid with the sales lady. She said if she sells 2 a week, she is well into 6 figures. Got $200 for dining at Caesars, and then I also got a "free" 3 night stay for the summer time.

-Went to Ruth's Chris for free. Got the T-Bone potatoes and brocolli. All in like $130

Gambling:

I actually dont go to gamble, since casinos are pretty legal in the Midwest. However, i always recommend to put a $20 in the slots and drink as many free drinks as possible.

Drinking:

Fat Tuesday - So good. Get 3 shots of everclear in it and I gurantee you will be relaxed.

I love Vegas. Will probably go again in may/june

What are you preferences when you stay/lived there? I enjoy Vegas because I think it really does have something for everyone. If you want to hit all of the clubs and never sleep, you can do that. If you want to sit at the blackjack table for 10 hours, you can do that as well. People-watching while walking down the strip is a sport in itself.

When I visited it was stay at PH with a particular group of friends, and visit all the pools I liked Encore the most. Another group was Cosmo.

When living, I hang out in summerlin the most and if visiting people on the strip I go to Aria or Rehab.

I do agree it has everything for everyone. It's just gotten ridiculously expensive, crowded and not as fun because of it. But if someone solicited advice from me, there'd be so many questions to ask first before giving a hotel, restaurant, pool or bar.

Apologies, I should have included some sort of write-up of poker. I like sitting down at a limit table and playing for a few hours, but I just think it's too much of a grind for the limited amount of time I'm in Vegas. The poker rooms that I have walked into usually feature limit/no-limit Texas Hold'Em and Omaha. I don't see many other games. A few poker rooms I enjoy...

Bellagio Binions Venetian Caesars

I gotta ask where you prefer Going Concern

Good post. I lived in Vegas for a couple years...

I’d have to say Wet Republic is the best pool party, but everyone’s different.

Hakkasan is easily my fav night club, but what’s more important is who is DJIng that night.

Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekend are usually the best weekends, BUT also the most expensive by far unless there’s a special event going on.

Btw - honestly never got a table / bottle service bc I was young and didn’t feel like blowing the cash. What do they run? I’ve heard some tables can get up to $10k a night for DJs such as Calvin Harris but not sure if that’s true.

Way more now. I've seen people drop 25-50k.

Let me add some other suggestions / thoughts as someone who loves Vegas:

  • The rooms at the Cosmo overlooking the Bellagio fountains are fantastic. They have balconies and it's pretty awesome to hang there if you have a group. Cosmo has definitely become less affordable in the past year or so I've found.
  • Bellagio buffet is great if you're into that
  • Hit up the huge Walgreens across the street from Cosmo / Aria (next to Planet Hollywood) if you're staying in the area. Can get everything, including pregame and hangover recovery materials for much more affordable prices
  • While I LOVE Vegas pool parties (seriously - pool parties nowhere else even come close to comparing), several of the hotel pools themselves are pretty great themselves and have a cool vibe / are great for meeting people
  • Shows: Definitely recommend either Absinthe (good for humor / lively group) or O (fantastic Cirque du Solei over water)
  • Text promoters you find on Twitter / Instagram to help get you on guest list for clubs. If you're going with lots of guys / high guy to girl ratio - get there early

In terms of hotels, you actually don't have to stay in the strip. There are some good hotels with much cheaper prices (Westgate) around the strip and it just takes around 10 mins to go to the strip by cab,

In terms of nightclubs, you actually should't miss OMNIA in Ceaser Palace

Great post, but no love for Omnia?

Two additional tips:

If you're going to do bottle service (which you should), text promoters earlier in the week before you go. You'll be able to lock in substantially better rates.

Instead of recovering with the the Fiji waters at your minibar, hit up the Walgreens on the strip and grab a 24 pack of water.

Complete oversight by me in terms of Omnia. I have not been, but I've seen some videos of the ever-changing chandelier. It looks pretty awesome. I am still scarred from when it was "Pure". I had a pretty brutal experience in 2014 when I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was just trying to hop into the bathroom when they arrested a few guys for dealing in the club right next to me. They thought I was with them. I avoided it after that even when it changed to Omnia, but I've only heard good things.

A little news on the LV Strip: MGM is feeling out Wynn in regards to a takeover. MGM is dying for a high-end resort. They are trying to market and price the Park MGM (formerly Monte Carlo) as a high-end resort, but I personally don't think that will work. Reviews of the new/rehab rooms all have the same consensus; the renovations were done in a half-ass manner. Park MGM will never be in the same group as Cosmo, Bellagio, Venetian, Wynn, etc. The Wynn/Encore resorts would be the best resorts on the MGM roster and would expand MGM's reach to the north part of the strip. Wynn/Encore has terrible gambling conditions as I mentioned above, but MGM would probably loosen those rules if the acquisition went through. The question is, if MGM and Caesar's owned the large majority of the hotels on the strip, would they start increasing resort fees, hotel prices, parking prices just because they could? This is very preliminary, but definitely something to monitor.

Quick thought for those that are statistically inclined AND that have a large bank roll, say twenty to thirty large. Caesars offers double deck blackjack with very liberal rules including surrender in their high stakes room. The casino’s edge is 0.15%. If you play perfectly for four hours at three hundred a hand, your expected loss is $180, assuming 100 hands an hour. At this level of play, you will have your room and dining, great steak house there; New York strip is the best, comp’ed and they probably will help you out at Pure, especially if a group of you are gambling. In my opinion, it is the only way to go.

One word of caution, do not count cards if you like the Vegas experience, you will be banned if you are any good at it. A one two spread is the most you’ll get away with in the long run. That will at least bring you to a zero expected loss on Caesars game and you’ll enjoy the comps for a long time.

Friendly advise from someone that has had security “help” him vacate his suite in the early hours of the morning. Much more fun to let variance decide how much your bottles are going to cost. Who knows, if you play your cards right, you just might be paid to party. Almost a better feeling nailing the CFO of major Vegas property. Yeah, they go to the clubs too. The best part is when you let them know you have been coming to their property for years and haven’t lost a penny on average. Sorry for the long post. Got carried away. Vegas rocks. Enjoy yourselves.

For me, I usually book through the Platinum call-center for Marriott properties (Cosmopolitan), but for most that isn't the case. Make sure to book well in advance and you will save some $$$ as with any location. I would also check this calendar (https://www.vegasmeansbusiness.com/planning-tools/convention-calendar/) before booking your preferred weekend. A large conference will bump up prices at all of the hotels. If you have some flexibility, work around those weeks. If booking non-Cosmo properties, I will book the basic room and then ask the front desk for an upgrade after giving the front desk man/woman a ~$50 tip. This usually works. I also prefer to lay the cash right on the counter in front of them instead of the sandwich. I just tell them I tip everyone else in the city and they deserve something as well. Makes it a little less awkward. Good luck in Vegas.

1.8million because of the trauma... he is going to need more than that after everyone in the world hears about this. What are his friends going to think of him after this? Lastly in vegas by yourself? where were his friends this whole time? Just all seems real weird to me

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

Speaking of things not to do in Vegas - what's everyone's opinion of the Spearmint Rhino? Heading out there in a few weeks and got buddies clamoring to go. I've heard mixed opinions though - everything from "best strip club in the world, worth every penny" to "overpriced tourist trap with the bitchiest strippers you've ever met". Opinions?

I've heard it's great, but watch your wallet. My friend actually had a threesome with two of the strippers, they said theyd do it for 300 and charged him 800.

Get more for your money @ Sapphire. Spearmint is more classy but it's a must. Have a good time and keep in mind that if you let your guard down, those strippers will f*%k you over hard.

@ GOB: that's the dumbest post I have ever read. you probably look like... [see "are looks important" thread from a couple of days ago.

Barboon, you are wrong, this guy must have called a stripper because he is a sophisticated connoisseur of art and self-expression, and the poor girl realized half way through the dance, that if she didn't taste his cock right there and then, she would spend the rest of her life regretting not throwing herself at the hottest and most charming man she's ever seen. He rightfully feels taken advantage of, since the length of time that she was enjoying the greatest fuck of her life, was the time he spent not enjoying what he paid for - the experience of the trance-like, soul-cleansing state one enters when witnessing the beauty of dance.

More is good, all is better

Haha, thanks Takeover, I'm not really big on strip clubs in the first place, and as I don't pay for sex (unless you consider dinner/drinks) will probably steer clear. I would much rather hit on a girl who I can take home and is actually interested in what I'm saying

Poker FTW. I coached my dad for 45min before going to Harrah's once down in New Orleans and he was up ~$100 before he did exactly what I said he shoudlnt do (ie play face-little)...

If you can find a loose table, a pretty easy strategy that will usually make you money is to play tight....only play with like the top 10 starting hands and fold everything else (except maybe occassionally seeing a cheap flop with low pairs or suited connectors)...if you do that, you will make money since most people want to gamble, and you can get your money into a big pot eventually with good odds...

Enjoy!

Here's what I think: there's a 25% chance you win a small amount of money, there's a 74% chance you say you win when people ask you about the trip, and there's a 1% chance you admit to losing money. At least, this seems to be what most people do.

Close, 25% chance I lose money, 1% chance I win money, and a 74% chance I lie about getting into a knife fight with Donald Trump and, as the winner, I'm entitled to stay in his hotel's high roller suite anytime I come back to Las Vegas.

I figure, if you're going to lie about Vegas, go big or go home :).

SlikRick:
Craps is the most fun game in Vegas. Statistically speaking, I don't think any bet is better than the Pass Line (49.2%). However, this is an incredibly boring way to play. Betting on the numbers keeps the game interesting and makes you much more vested. Just NEVER bet on the field, it's probably the biggest suckers bet in Vegas.

Ignore SlickRick.

House edge on pass line bet is about 1.4%. House edge on field bet is 2.7% to 5.5%. Place bets on the 6 and 8 have a house edge of 1.5%; place bets on the 5 and 9 have a 4% house advantage.

A safe and semi-entertaining strategy to employ would be to put $10 on the pass line and $12 each on the 6 and 8. If your pass line wins, you win $10 and if your 6 or 8 wins then you win $14 (pays 7 to 6). After you get a feel for the game, you can throw other random bets out there, but contrary to SlikRick's advice there are many worse bets you can make besides the field bet.

Baccarat is a sick game, you are essentially betting on coin flips. Banker bets are about 1% edge and player bets are about 1.25% edge. You may run into asian businessmen betting 10K + per hand.

"My caddie's chauffeur informs me that a bank is a place where people put money that isn't properly invested."

Do you like betting on sports? That's my favorite betting arena and if I was stuck with my old man in Vegas we'd def head to the sports book. If you like sports I think that's the next best thing to the pools and clubs.

Also, as a side note I find some of those elaborate ridiculous slot machine and "group betting" games they make to attract baby boomers hilarious. I especially crack up at how they recreate cheesy TV game shows like the one with Howie Mandel and the numbered brief cases.

Whoaaaaaa

1) I went to Vegas like 5 years ago during August. You don't know heat yet my friend

2) Dry heat is way better than moist heat. 105 in Vegas is like 90 in Florida. There are no bugs in Vegas also which is AMAZING

3) There are plenty of clubs to get into in Vegas.

Listen, just hang out in the pool and be friendly with women. They will invite you out with them. Now you have a group of hot chicks. Frankly, pissing away tons of money on bottles is stupid. You know what bottles attract? Mooches.

Free food and change = Bums Bottles = Women who will not sleep with you

Hunt during the day, defenses are down. Pools is awesome because you can examine what you are going after. Nothing like that sausage casing of a dress coming off and you gaging. There ought to be a lemon law lol.

Oh, go buy booze and keep your hotel room stocked. Cant have an after party without it.

After party = not sleeping alone

All that dancing at a club will sober you up. Get some vodka and rum with mixers. Hard liquor makes it quicker.

How else are you supposed to play the world series of poker? Some things in life are unavoidable, and Vegas in the summer is one of them... But yeah, the drinks are ridiculous. I paid $52 for two drinks at Tao a couple weekends ago... I was like "no, I only had these two." Bartender (who was ridiculously hot btw) just gave me a apologetic smile, and took my card.

I interned there this summer (former trader/market maker, went to get my MBA, going back to market making after). Liked the work a lot, didn't like living in Vegas. Love Vegas for a vacation, but hard to like it for a lifestyle.

I like market making and I love sports, so going to a sports book came very naturally. They have a nice team, but I would think it's a long way until you see traders leaving their jobs to try and trade sports like financial markets. As far as market making goes, there are not enough spots there at this point where going to Vegas is a legitimate exit opportunity. The back of their book has/had about 5 people working on the numbers of sports.

It's very tough to cater to a casual vacationer who may know nothing about betting sports while simultaneously making bets that are interesting to trading professionals.

What I will say about Cantor is that they have great people, good systems, the best sports books in town to watch a game in (all non-smoking, amazing screens, comfortable seats).

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

I have always had more fun at the pool parties than the nightclubs in Vegas.

Regarding where to stay - sign up for M Life (MGM) or Caesars Rewards (CET) prior to booking your stay, and when you arrive go by the players desk to pick up your card. Gamble where you stay (or worst case in the family of hotels you are staying).

In case you don't know...

MGM (M Life) hotels include:

MGM Grand Aria Vdara (No Casino) Mandalay Bay Park MGM Bellagio Delano Mirage New York New York Luxor Excalibur Circus Circus

Of those, I have stayed at MGM once and Delano once. Would personally not stay at either again. A friend of mine loves Bellagio FWIW.

Caesars Properties include...

Caesars Palace Cromwell Planet Hollywood Flamingo Rio Paris Harrahs Ballys Linq

Of those.. have stayed at Caesars and PH(2x). If you are staying at one of their properties, you must get a suite. If you have status (Diamond or Seven Stars) it is much easier to get a comp upgrade at check in, as that has happened to me both times with PH.

I would not mind reading information about Las Vegas 2022. I hope you can make a new article! The last time I visited Las Vegas was around 2017 when I had a lot of money and a desire to earn big money. Of course, as a result, I didn't manage to earn anything because I'm too much of a gambler. But it was still a lot of fun to spend time in the most famous casino city. Of course, I spent most of my time at las vegas club events, as my luck was against me at the casino. I really want to go to Las Vegas this year, and I hope that the global pandemic will finally end!
