Do they?
Guys I've been preparing for Ib interviews. And I've seen some brainteasers type questions. Like: Alex has to cover 100 miles. He drives the first 50 miles at 50 miles per hour. How fast he needs to drive the last 50 miles to average 100 miles total blah blah?
Do they actually ask you similar questions?
I've been asked brainteaser questions in about 1/4 of the interviews I did. Only interviewed at BB/EB, so I would say you should know at least the thought process that they often require. If you have taken the GMAT with decent results in quant I wouldn't worry
Brain teasers are definitely asked in markets interviews, not so much in IB.
More so in management consulting / trading
My data set of 20 people including myself that interviewed for sa is no. Others can provide more data points but I believe this is more applicable to markets focused roles.
