Do you ever get migraines from working long hours in finance?
I haven’t experienced these headaches before but they’re very dull like not even sure if I can call them headaches but it feels like every muscle in back of my neck and head is tensed. Plus I feel nauseated. They only occur when I work. They're not sharp. I've been getting these ever since my workload has doubled.
its tightness in your neck from sitting too long, do neck stretches and get a massage when you have the time!
Definitely learn a few basic stretches to do throughout the day and work on posture. I don't know if it will help with migraines, but get some felix gray glasses. They will help your eyes if you are looking at screens all day.
They now offer the anti-blue screen coating on most glasses
Do you think it might be related to hydration? Might be a stupid suggestion but perhaps try drinking a bit more water.
Yeah, this is a great suggestion. It’s probably a dehydration and posture issue. On my busiest days I often don’t drink enough water and then get headaches.
Stress can come with a lot of fun physiological effects such as headaches. Especially if it contributes to raising your blood pressure out of the regular range. Be sure to always keep a mindful eye on your BP because if its in an elevated state that can cause a plethora of other issues if it goes untreated.
Drink more water than you think you need and turn on a screen warmer (night light comes standard now, also f.lux). Also standing desks, eating healthy, and getting in some exercise (even a quick 20 minute walk) will do wonders.
