Do you have to open an account at the bank you work for to get your paycheck?
If you're a summer IBD analyst at one of the banks with a major retail presence (BofA, Citi, JPM, WF, etc.), do they make you open an account with them to get your paycheck direct deposited? And do they give any discounts/perks on banking services?
From personal experience: 1. No, you can have whatever bank you want (they'll probably jokingly fuck with you though) 2. Yes, some banks will waive certain fees (e.g. minimum balance fees, overdraft fees, etc. on savings/checking accounts) if you're a full time employee
No, that's totally retarded.
Never felt any pressure to open an account. I had one anyone because we're already everywhere I go, though.
