Do you think I can get a FO job in Hong Kong?
Hi I'm a South Korean and I speak non of the chinese languages.
I go to a top 5 university in Korea.
But I just want to have a job or an internship in Hong Kong(at least I want to try)
Here's my resume.

Do you think I can get a chance to have an interview with any of the famous american or european bank or securitiies company? I prefer a FO position.
Also, i know you're all generous so could you please correct my resume?
Thanks in advance!
I honestly think being asian it is quite hard to break into IBD in HK without knowing Mandarin as most of the focus are on mainland China these days. Unless you are going for FO in sales and trading, where they have a specific "Korea focused" team, HK would be hard for a Korean that don't speak Mandarin (there are tons of Koreans studying in HK that speak fluent Mandarin).
Having said that, it is definitely worth a try. But I would say going for a FO in Singapore would be easier as Mandarin is less important.
你是令人失望.
Hong Kong bishes wishes they could have my long dong delicious
Clear up the dates for your military/school/work experience.
I was told by a number of people that language fluency is NOT nearly as big a deal in HK as it is in Tokyo. Maybe being Asian changes that as people might expect you to speak the language, but I know a number of Westerners who took IBD jobs in HK with no knowledge of Cantonese or Mandarin, and no intent to learn.
I think the thing is if you are a westerner, they don't really expect you to speak Mandarin. Therefore, it is easier to get the job in HK, not knowing Mandarin. But if you are Asian or Korean, you will be competing with a lot of Koreans that do speak Mandarin fluently. Therefore, it makes it more competitive.
You've got multiple GPA systems on the same resume - is it possible to consolidate to one?
