Does anybody trade part-time for a Prop Firm
A friend of mine in college was trading for a prop firm where you put up about 2-5k and they give you a bank roll of 100-150k. I was wondering if anybody else does anything like this, or would have more insight on the whole operation?

Sounds fascinating - although I'm sure they don't just give any college kid a $100k trading account.
they really do, but its a chop shop im sure. the only good prop shops, unless you're an experienced trader and you can put up some capital, are ones that train you with no required contribution
yeah it for real. your capital is just really leveraged, and of course they get a nice chunk of your profits... but its a good way to short-term trade if you don't have the capital. I was just looking to see what shops people are working for, and if they like it there.

Honestly you would be better off trading futures for your personal account than going through a prop shop. Most of these prop shops are just churn & burn. If you ahve a very limited bankroll and are willing to lose every last penny of it and are interested in trading on the side futures if probably the best reward to risk play out there. S&P Naz, and Dow mini contracts are the most popular.
