Does Anyone Have Insights On Coller Capital?
Sorry for the specific / single firm post here but I'd really appreciate any insight folks have on Coller Capital?
Appreciate any insights on deal team structure/culture/recent deals/recruitment process, etc.

Coller have been around forever. They raise big funds and deploy into every type of deal in the market including quasi-secondaries like seasoned primaries, short duration primary co-vestments, preferred equity.
Until recently, their founder controlled all the equity, and LPs forced his hand to set up a continuity plan and start giving senior partners some equity.
The biggest issue with Collar is that their returns are just consistently bad. Some of their older funds are like 9-10% IRR funds, and that's with leverage. Still, they are able to raise money so they must be create at marketing themselves. They were one of the earliest secondary funds out there.
My two cents is that they have no edge and are generally seen as a dumb buyer.
