Does Goldman Sachs request university transcripts from prospective interns?

Not considering fudging my gpa, friends and I are upcoming juniors and just want to know from your experience if they reuqested a transcript before or after you were accepted.

This question was not posted for me, it was for my friends, but it addresses something that a lot of engineers worry about. As engineers we have the option of going into Tech (where they don't care about gpas or transcripts as much) or finance where they do. CS and EE courses are much harder at my school than non technical courses, so our transcripts are spotty at times (I don't know any senior who hasn't withdrawn at least one course and they're all off to great tech companies). Non technical courses are curved higher, so they help out with the gpa. Nothing to hide, but our transcripts look kinda bad compared to non technical people who have a different set of courses and expectations. It would help to apply to places that value projects and work experience more. Faking your gpa is stupid. Don't assume there is "literally no other reason" when I clearly stated that no one would.

Do you really think HR can't figure out you are engineering major? They see plenty of kids with your background as along you didn't lie or you can defend what you stated on your resume, don't sweat it. I love the "i'm posting for my friend because I'm nervous as fuck and I can't stand up to the truth" statement.
