Does these random thoughts make me a "douchebag"?

Rainy Sunday here.
Some random thoughts I have while running everyday errands, overhearing news, etc:

  • a really attractive girl working at a minimum wage job needs to be "rescued" because she's incorrectly allocating her depreciating assets (beauty). she could generate much more value (for both others and herself) doing something better. it's not unlike holding cash in an inflationary environment. very similar concept.

  • someone charged with murder and attempted murder should NOT be given differing sentences, since the only difference was luck. this is especiall true since the Westeran legalise emphasizes intent (NOT luck). should disregard efficacy.

  • poor people don't really want equality. they don't really hate rich people. if they really wanted "social change", they would cease procreation (more bluntly - stop fucking). period. full stop. that would be the ultimate expression of "taking a stand" against the wealthy, since in less than one generation, the elite class would see the labour pool run dry.

  • during rush hour, the right ("slow") lane is almost always faster. perfectly demonstrates humanity's idiocy of herd mentality, since everyone assumes the left lane is faster.

  • a girl who stays at home (to look after the house, kids, cook, etc) is the only kind of "real" woman. she knows that her role is to make her husband happy. in return, he will ensure she is financially stable. there's no golddigging here, just a mutual, implicit understanding of the pleasures each gender (should) provide. (real) feminists are an abonination of the gender, if not our entire species.

  • today people act surprised when you can drive a manual. in 50 years, people will act surprised you can drive (a car).

  • it is very important to appear honest. this way when you (really) need to lie, people will believe you.

Its amazing the amount of crap people spew and think they have made some sort of revelation.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

I probably have to agree. Some of my thoughts are rather shitty/crappy. And at no point did I claim them to be "revelations." Maybe that's what they are to you?

We (as individuals) have a lot less free will than we think. Whether it be in our jobs, relationships, decision, or (in this case) thoughts.

Agree with most of these except the point about girls staying at home....

Traditional gender roles are the results of thousands of years of developed human social behavior (itself a function of biology). Choosing to eschew those roles as a result of 1)laziness or 2)entitlement masked as a moral stand against "outdated" principles is not admirable.

However, women can and should establish their own independence without disregarding the traditional demands on their sex. Is this a difficult thing to do? Very much so. By no means am I suggesting it is easy to 1)have a career 2)raise kids and 3)keep a husband happy. It is certainly more difficult than 2 & 3 alone. As with anything else in life, sometimes one or two of those three will suffer for the other(s). However, pursuit of all three is admirable and to malign women that are pursuing all three as not "real" women is wrong.

Furthermore, if you are going to admire women who only pursue 2 & 3, or just 3, then you should have the same respect for any women pursuing 1 & 2 or 1 alone. I personally believe that the most admirable women are those attempting to balance all 3. They may fail. They may find that they don't possess the fortitude required to have all three. But I absolutely respect them for trying.

you make a great case for why marijuana shouldn't be legal until you're 25, and your specific case, i'd hold off altogether.

i can only hope my thoughts weren't this dumb at your age

What is the answer to 99 out of 100 questions?
