Doing a second degree in STEM and going to VC

Hi guys,

This question may sound a bit stupid but I am exploring some opportunities / career options and want to hear your views.

After spending ~4 years in BB IB+MM PE covering niche sectors (o&g/nat res), I felt a bit burned out and wanted to try out some other stuff.

Would it be unwise to do a second degree in something such as electronic engineer / biochemistry etc. for taking time off to chill + intellectual interest and at the same time use it as a leverage for pivoting to a VC with such focus 2-3 years down the road?

I feel quite stressed after spending 4 years in IB+PE. Seems that it would be a good way to take time off + doing something I find interesting. Personally I am not so inclined to do an MBA as it is too expensive and too intensely career oriented (putting down 200k+ and gunning for summer associate the moment entering bschool is just too unworthy imo).
