I would say do your acct major, biz major, and cum in that order so the 3.8 stands out at the top of your page.
Based on my little experience of looking at my friend's resumes, including making my own for my interviews, I have seen cum first, than both majors one under the other
are you interviewing for big 4 accounting gigs? or BB
Just put the cumulative and accounting GPA. No need to put the "lower major GPA," unless the "business major" is seen as preparation for the jobs you are applying for (in the eyes of recruiters).

I have a 3.8 cumulative, 4.0 Economics, 3.6 Finance, or 3.8 combined major (finance + economics).
So should I just list cumulative GPA: 3.8, Majors GPA: 3.8, if I'm applying to finance jobs? And if I'm applying to economics jobs list cumulative and economics?
whatever you are applying to
4.0 Economics 3.8 cumulative
But if I'm applying to finance jobs and don't list a finance GPA, they will certainly ask and then it will be even worse than if I just listed combined majors GPA of 3.8 no?
Or you can just not put that you're a double major. No one gives a shit.
Yeah I shouldn't list a finance major when applying to finance jobs. I'm usually not a douchebag on forums, but you're an idiot.
banker88: You should just put cumulative GPA and exclude major GPAs - 3.8 is strong enough to open every GPA-based door. The rest of your resume has to make the pitch after that.
Default: I'd tell you the same thing - 3.6 is fine. However, if your accounting 3.85 really makes you feel that much better, I'd go in order of Cumulative/Business/Accounting ---> if you're listing one major you should list both.
banker 88: just list all 4. it will make you look so much smarter by having 4 GPAs listed.
Double majoring, one significantly higher than the other. What to do? (Originally Posted: 12/12/2017)
Attending a strong target with an overall GPA of 3.0. Im double majoring in banking and finance (yes, two separate majors each with their own structure and core classes).
My finance GPA is abysmal. It's like a 2.95 or something. However, my banking GPA is hovering around a 3.9. Don't ask me why there's such a huge difference because honestly it's down to a mixture of bad luck and lack of planning. Whatever, I accept my fate.
Anyways, which GPA should I list on my CV? The cumulative GPA or both majors listed separately? I'm worried that the low finance GPA would automatically ding me, but leaving it off looks sketchy doesn't it?
For context, I've held multiple internships in boutique IBs and VC firms, with an upcoming Big 4 CF internship.
Thanks!
Be smart, drop the Finance major completely - list your Banking GPA on your resume
