(Stupid question alert).
As a poor SA that doesn't have many shirts (basically 1 for each day of the week), my shirts get really wrinkled. Can't afford dry cleaning everyday either.
Do any of you have experience with fabric steamers (http://www.amazon.ca/CONAIR-GS10RC-Conair-Deluxe-…)?? Should I invest in one? Or stick to the old fashion iron?

You don't need a fabric steamer, just stick with an iron.
iron + Niagara Spray Starch
Honestly, steam them. Especially if you are not washing them in between. The Iron will simply press in the sweat and stains. The steamer will help alleviate them and leave the shirt wrinkle free and fresh.
You can get a cheap hand steamer instead of on of those big units.

Works like a charm for a lazy son of a bitch such as myself.
If you can afford it, get the steamer. You can also use this on your suits if you aren't getting them dry cleaned, whereas I would be very nervous taking an iron to your jacket
If you can wash your shit, go with iron + niagara. If not, just buy a hand steamer, they're cheap.
How's this steamer shit even work? You hang your shirt up after washing, steam it, and it magically becomes crease-free?
You wait for the shirt to dry.
If you have access to a washer/dryer just by non iron shirt. If you don't have access you can wear the shirt, take it off, steam it and wear it again. This will reduce your dry cleaning bill.
Having shirts laundered costs less than $1 per shirt at most corner dry cleaners. That is $5-$7 a week, depending on how much you're working. Drink one less venti frappuccino per week and you are there. If you are doing a 10 week internship, that is $50-$70 for the whole summer, which is less than one night of going out in NYC. Instead of going out one Friday night, spend the night at home in your apartment watching a movie and thinking about how nice all of your shirts will look that summer.
Although I am cheap in a lot of areas, the cost of having professionally laundered shirts is low enough that it's worth not spending the 2 hours with the laundry machines and ~10 minutes per shirt nicely ironing it. The only reason I can see laundering and ironing your own shirts is if you have very expensive shirts and don't want the idiots at the cleaners to mess them up. From your post, it does not sound like this is a problem you are having.

Hang your shirt in the bathroom when you are showering in the morning. While not as good as dry cleaned or steamed or ironed, it can help get some wrinkles out in a pinch.

Steamer is the way to go. Cuts your time dramatically and allows you to get wrinkles out of virtually all clothing items. No you'd most likely need a press for that unless you get creative.

Honestly, I like to use both. Steaming is great in between ironing or dry cleaning trips to keep everything fresh and wrinkle free. It won't get your clothing nice and crisp as ironing does but its also a much quicker process
I use both. A good steam Iron is essential to keep things Crisp, but I like the steamer for taking out a few wrinkles in suit and slacks to elongate periods between dry cleaning sessions. Both have their use.
You can hang them in the shower to "steam" the creases out too...lazy man's way.
I would personally use either. The iron yields sleeve creases that leave the shirt looking like it just left the cleaners. The steamer removes wrinkles like a wizard, and although it's not as clean, it may be less risky than showcasing your newest iron burn marks and water stains.
Bottom line: it just depends, use what works best and gets the results you want.

Personally, I'd go with the steamer. The iron has a way of being kind of "nasty" so to speak as csanchez mentioned with water stains and sometimes even these brownish spots that can result as your iron gets older.
