DRW Analyst?

Hi, so I recently received a Quantitative Trading Analyst full-time offer from DRW. Because I'm not as familiar with trading compensation, can I ask what is the career progression of this role? The compensation was 110k base with 20k bonus - I was a little surprised since a lot of normal software roles can beat this and this would be fairly low if this was the compensation long term, but then a friend told me this was common first year, and that the bonus moves dramatically. Can anybody confirm? Thanks!
