What will be powering the monitor? Do you want smoothness (higher hz/FPS) or picture quality (4K)?

If I had to recommend anything, it would be either 2x27” 4K 60hz monitors ($600 if you’re lucky) or one single boss of a 32”+ 4K monitor.

Other choices would be 24/27” 1440P 60+ hz for higher resolution and smoothness.

It’s really up to you and whether you want a gaming monitor, media/business monitor, or both. Either way, $500 should work. Go do some research, Reddit is a great place - those dudes love PCs and in 2 hours you’ll know all about monitors and which brands to look for.

I personally prefer two monitors instead of one, larger one. Larger ones require you to mess around with resizing windows whereas it's a lot easier to just full screen two windows with dual monitors.

I can vouch for this 27" curved msi monitor: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Non-Glare-FreeSync-Optix-G27C2/dp/B074G96MPM When I worked with a dual monitor setup I wished that they were curved because it makes it noticeably easier to see things at the outer edges, even compared to an angled flat-panel setup. I've found the 144hz refresh rate to be easier on my eyes than standard 60hz and it makes every task feel smoother.
