ah! you beet me to it.
Dammit I came here to post this.
I knew this thread would turn into a Schrute-fest lol. Bravo.
They just opened a Cleveland office with a few underwriters, not sure if they have originators or other capabilities outside of NY. Understand they are young hungry group from Greystone and Beech Street. Would be interested in additional insight as well.
I know Greystone. But do you mean Benefit Street?
They have an office they are expanding in DC. Was involved with the interview process through a recruiter.
Heard it's fun office environment although the manager is an idiot
Any idea on comp and work/life balance?
Analyst role was about $70-75K base + bonus. All in was ~$90K. This was for an underwriting role. Work life balance seemed to be okay. About 50ish sometimes upwards of 60.
Again, through the recruiter.
Spoke to recruiter about this role and she seemed interested in me.. then she went complete MIA.
God, I hate third party recruiters.
Seems like everyone has spoke a recruiter about working here, including myself.
Spoke with the Company regarding an analyst position Starting analyst was 70-75K plus 15-20% bonus Senior analyst was 85-95K plus 15-25% bonus Long-term career growth looked promising as the Underwriter pay was between 120-150K plus bonus
I work at a competitor (pretty easy to guess where at since we have a lot of people from Dwight and vice versa). I can confirm the comp as a starting analyst - it’s exactly what @analyst.2012 mentioned. Heard from people that worked there that it’s great for people right out of college as it’s a young environment. About 50-60 hours a week, so it’s pretty good WLB.
Did anyone take a job with Dwight? If so, how is the company?
Bump
Interviewed for originator role a while back. Unsure of Analyst responsibilities and what not. But Miami office seems to be cold calling type gig.
Anyone have any insights on comp for NY office?
Dwight Capital is a horrible place to work. They have a HUGE problem retaining employees because the culture is so bad, its a revolving door. I know multiple SVP's/MD's that have worked here (some for a year, others for 3-5 yrs) and they've all been outspoken just how bad it is. Fist fights in the office, incompetent analysts / UW's, nepotism, low pay and a stain on your resume (to be clear I've never worked here). You're better off working for Enterprise.
I don't know anything about the culture at Dwight, but this is WILDLY inconsistent with what the rest of the comments are saying lmao
I worked at Dwight. The people are nice enough and overall the culture isn't bad. In my experience, there's limited upward mobility unless you're interested in HUD underwriting.
Anyone have any insight on the mortgage trust?
