Early Start Date

I'm a senior at a HYPS and spent two summers at a top hedge fund. I'm graduating early (December). I'll be joining a financing group at MS/GS and have been given a February start date option on top of the normal start date option. I could see benefits of starting early in 1. networking/building ties with superiors. 2. More experience before buyside recruiting.
What do you guys think? Thanks for helping.
