ECM & Equity Derivatives Help
Guys,
I've got my last round of interviews at an IB shop in their ECM group for an Analyst position. They're about 20 people total split like 12ECM/8EqD.
Out of the 5 total people I've met, Only 1 of them was primarily focused on Derivatives...Keep in mind both groups have the same head so they do a lot together.
So far, the only tech question that came up about Derivs was: Draw the payoff for a synthetic long position. I thought asking a question about a synthetic was a bit much given the spot is for recent grads.
Anyways, does anyone have any ideas what I should be prepared for to answer in the context of Derivatives relating to a broader ECM group?
Don't have much insight on this but I wanted to see if you can share any tips on how you prepared for your first rounds of interviews. Sorry for hijacking your original question. I do have my first ECM interview coming up and I don't know what to expect as far as technicals (searching on the forum hasn't been a great help). Really appreciate any advice you may have.
