Economic Consulting: exit opportunities
Hi everyone,
I'm about to start my career in Economic Consulting at a major firm (think CRA / Oxera / NERA) in the Regulatory Finance practice in Europe.
The job seems extremely interesting now, and much more analytical than both IB and Management Consulting. Although, I heard that it can get boring after a while and, in this case, I would like to know if there are good exit opportunities without taking an MBA. For example, would the analytical skills of an Economic Consultant be appealing to an MBB after a couple of years?
Regarding PE and IB I guess MBA would be the only way even if I have a good Finance background, but I was wondering if it's common/possible the transition to a Top Consulting Firm, possibly also to have an MBA paid and plenty of opportunities afterwards
Thank you very much!
